They are so rare there is little if anything to compare a price to? I would presume that is pretty much a sellers market and if you have to ask how much, likely "you" can't afford it?

I don't ask since there is no point.

Any number mentioned would just be speculation?

The worst examples (but legit) in the world seem to start at about 3.5m and they increase from there depending on originality, history, original spec etc etc etc.

LMC did a couple of episodes that included original GT40s. You can probably google and find them. There was a red one that PK bought for just over $3M, and a silver one with some racing history that crossed the block at $4M (if memory serves me). Happy hunting!
