Wanted to Buy / 1969 Boss 9 wanted
July 11, 2022, 09:03:34 AM
A friend from Australia contacted me with a request.
He is looking for a nice clean Boss 9.
Color is not important, but must be a #'s matching engine and be a 1969.
He would like all the smog, snorkeling etc on the engine or included in the sale.
To expensive and time consuming to buy parts in US and then ship separately down under.

He does not want a trailer queen, nice driver to a local neighborhood show is how he termed the condition
Shoot me what you have or know about.
Thanks
John

guys,
Is  this  the fastest electric race car in the world? less than 2 seconds to 62mph

I would bet they are going to try for the fastest time ever recorded at GOODWOODS, any bets?
Article;
Ford Electric SuperVan Races Into Goodwood With Nearly 2,000 HP. Who needs a hypercar when a van can hit 62 mph in less than two seconds? Oh, and it also has a burnout mode.

Guys,
I must say that I admire and like what Foose did to the maverick.
He stated that beings Ford was more or less discontinuing a basic car body platform besides the Mustang, he wanted to design the future.
At the very end he adds FORD on the rocker like a GT 40 had, and that my friends did it for me.
The body kit/panels, hood and bumper treatment, are just pure racy looking, low and mean.
If he made kits like this, probably half of the 100,000 units on back order would buy them.
Enjoy the video he made >>> and you guys be the Judges.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / 66 T/A coupe,
April 21, 2022, 11:12:07 AM
As they very seldom pop up, what is the value of a documented 66 T/A coupe?
Needs resto, as it was raced, it does not have a #'s match engine, does have an alum box and all aprons etc carry the correct K numbers.
Body was never cut on, tubed , original cage and instruments are there.
Basic idea's guys ?
Thanks

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/the-story-of-the-elusive-scaglietti-corvettes-created-with-the-help-of-carroll-shelby-185167.html

Kind of reminds me of a Intermeccanica Italia.
What if >>>

The Ford museum has a Ferrari, did Enzo give that to Ford, can't remember?

Guys,
The Mustang II was one of the smallest Mustangs ever made.\
The group that designed this car, clicked the right buttons in my opinion.
Bad Ass looking, and would have to be REAL fast.
What appears to be a Grabber Blue variation, make it happen also.

The stance, the just so slightly wider hips,>> the exotic looking rear visual etc, click the right buttons?
The front end reminds me of the 05 cars.
WHAT SAY THE MUSTANG GERU"S ?

Appeals / 2001 Mustang Bullet
February 08, 2022, 12:57:30 PM
I had a widow call me about a 2001 Bullit that her deceased husband bought new.
She said it has the original tires, battery, window sticker, sales agreement etc.
12 K miles, been in climate controlled area.
No dings, no touch up,
What should I tell her the car is worth?
She is in the St Louis area.
Thanks

OH BOY,
Cotter just showed pictures of a """ CUBED SHELBY """"" 1967 Shelby GT 500 that was stripped of its serial numbers and shelby ID plate.
Happened decades ago at a junk yard in NY.
I would assume there is a GT 500 running around with welded in numbers and original Shelby plate,
About 410 on index.

https://www.motorious.com/articles/news/cubed-shelby-gt500/
One comment asks if it could be the Jim Morrison Shelby.

What is the scoop?
This is one car that I myself and other 67 guys posted on.
Dennis Collins>> cb jeep, bought it. youtube video.
They sellers sure talked a lot
The trans number shown, has value to the Shelby it came from.
Seems the same basic story was aired, seems the sellers blow the club off?
Looks like they bought a lot of parts to make the story better>

Yes, even back in 57, ford used the red oxide on new panels.

Perfect NOS panels, $4400.00 firm.
As bonus and included, a NOS red oxide hood that will fit 1955-1957, they are $1000.-$1500 by themselves
Must be picked up in Colorado

Merry Christmas to all!

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 1967 door hinges
December 04, 2021, 08:14:23 AM
This post was made today, regarding nos door hinges for a 1967.
http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=17159.0;topicseen

I went into the good old shed and looked at a door I have that came off a early 1967>> mustang.
it has the steel type hinge as shown in this thread topic, but the bottom hinge is more similar to a 65-66 lower hinge with the arm and pin.
What gives?
btw, the door has original paint, as well as the hinges

Wanted to Buy / 65-66 conv wanted, serious request !
November 19, 2021, 12:17:30 PM
Guys and gals,
Have a buddy in Australia that wants to buy several cars.
One is a 65-66 mustang conv.
Would like a 289 4 speed, a/c would be nice as its hot over there.
Colors and int trims are debatable and will not stop a sale.
Rust and or a seriously patched up car will not work,

Please let me know.
Respectfully,
John
UPDATE, my buddy in Australia said a automatic would also be fine.

Both set ups are sold
6M  unit is for a 67 gt350, and the other 5E to a 65 1/2 leftover.

I do believe that this was on a ac cobra at one time.
From a collectors 50 + year collection.
EElco dual bezel, and triple bezel with three original paxton gauges
Original dated late 66 and 67 unit, black case Cobra blower
Original can air cleaner
original Screen for air cleaner
original black flex and blue flex tubing.
ac cobra metal angled tube which mounts air cleaner in front nose
Note, even if its used on a shelby, all else is the same, just don;t use the metal duct tube.
3 original clamps and much more.
Worth big bucks to an original paxton car or cobra.
$10,000

Also have a partially complete 65 Paxton Unit, 5 E.
Air cleaner inc and much more
$5000.

Appeals / help pricing a 1970 Hemi Cuda
August 24, 2021, 11:34:37 AM
Guys,
When I go actually physically view the car, want to leave a deposit.
Sure it will get away if not.

Been stored inside, last drove about 20 years ago.
Climate control, garage never hit, never rusted, partial repaint, Mango. black int, column shift, shaker.

Service block from dlr when almost new. Bum deal, probably 20% disc
I have not seen the car yet, but know the DR quite well.
No idea what to tell him on price,  ?

I would say; nice driver if polished up, good enough for parades.
Interior the same.
Dr was not a gear head, he drove it while in Medical school and as time went, just left in his climate controlled garage.
Not sure what to bounce off of him?
Worst case $ , best case $ ?

This is a real obscure find.
Super WOW Factor.
Been in my partners collection for over 4 1/2 decades.
located in Davison Michigan, 48423, pick up only, can help load on site.

Link & pics where it is discussed herein SAAC,
http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=14494.0

It was in process of a final build when Cooper stopped. Same experienced Builder just sold two SOHC motors and a high riser
Basic breakdown;
poured special pistons, 4.230 pistons, guesstimate at around 8.0 compression
Special pumps, lines, injectors, etc all there.
BOWERS Supercharger
ENDERLE in port injection
adj rockers and correct stands.

Just found out that some pieces are cast marked M/T, Mickey Thompson
Era has been debated between somewhere in early 70's ?
Block, heads dated 65.

Priced at a very fair $7700. or best offer.

The devel 16 blows by the koenisegg at about 260 mph.
I know good racers, but this is as assault on sanity.

Fully airborne at 225 mph, big balls !

Wonder if the STIGG is driving the Devel 16
They say the 16 will run out at 285 mph >>>>>> and still be like a rock on the track, what a car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when you think you are fast.
Just does not get any better than this guys.
Enjoy

Have a trick induction system that is quite unique to say the least.

bottom part of intake, bolts to heads, has 8 injectors located in the ports.
2nd part of Intake is a full pledged supercharger/blower.
Drives are external and by crank.
Scoop on top of blower,
Pete and Scot have viewed pictures, found nothing like it in their books, we don't know who cast it, or what it was built for.?
Does have a 427 MR it is sitting on, all items are fresh.
Has special poured heavily dished forged pistons
Very cool though.
had to be an experimental set up, funny car, maybe Force, or all out race boat?
Anybody here have friends or museums into the early big boy stuff?

Does anybody know anything about FE fuel injection and values ?
Have original pumps, lines nozzles etc, pretty cool.
Also just uncovered an original Bowers blower from same era.
I thought I had seen it all, but this takes the cake.
Any idea's to value's ?

Need rough value here too;
6-M -29 complete Medium riser, fresh heads, new everything basically, clevite bearings still boxed.
No parts ever broken , head thumb print is deep. all freshly machined decades ago by a race shop.

Been sitting in a climate controlled building for 4 decades.
