Vehicle Description
RKM-built Shelby Pro-Tourer 711hp Boss-9 V8 6-speed A/C Detroit Speed Susp ///

Created by the RKM Performance Center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford's legendary Mustang, this incredible Shelby is the direct result of some of the industry's best builders exploring the supreme limits of the pro-touring resto-mod movement! As a rule, the best builds begin as solid classics, and that's exactly how this fresh Ford rolled into our Charlotte shop. In fact, the car's body was restored so well that all it took was a new hood to exact iconic Shelby form. Since this coupe was such a head turner, someone on our staff mentioned the Hot Rod Power Tour. After many months of fabricating, tuning and sorting, our 'race car in a Shelby wrapper' joined thousands of other road-ready classics to participate in the 20th running of the magazine's renowned endurance cruise. And over the next seven days and 1,500 miles, the radical ride we now affectionately called RK527 scorched the blacktop from Concord, North Carolina all the way to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin! Purchased at a cost of $37K, and tweaked in our shop by Kaase himself, this Mustang's monster mill is conservatively tuned to an easy 711 horsepower and a massive 806 lb./ft. of tire torching torque. Behind that brutal powerplant, a hydraulic clutch kicks a predictable Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed, which spins a familiar Ford 9-inch that's finished with 3.55 gears. That drivetrain rolls on a Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear-clip, which pushes a Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front-half. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. Drilled and slotted rotors thread sporty Baer calipers. Power meets the pavement through retro American Racing wheels. And between the doors, a fully restored cockpit features the best elements of Ford's Black bucket seat interior. Call, click or visit for your chance to claim this ultimate pro-touring resto-mod!

That car was offered by RK Motors a few years ago appearing stock.
Makes you wonder why it was changed.

I suspect that previous comment was a joke because of the location.

You might be thinking of another car we talked about a few years ago this linked post;

I got this in an email yesterday. https://www.rkmotors.com/vehicles/4005/1967-ford-mustang-gt500

Just for future reference

Bill for future posts "cars for sale" from members should be in this classification and other cars for sale like that we see on the web should be in the "up for auction" part of this forum? This is a car for sale for 300K plus and not in any auction.  I just found this car also on this link in this section-didn't see it in cars for sale section before I posted : http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=15295.0   so you may want to remove my topic here?   Thanks. Gary,

   I had already merged it in the proper "up for auction" subforum when you made your last post above  ;)

In the future, anything you find on the web needs to be posted here in the "up for auction" subforum (which allows open discussion as allowed by applicable law).
