+1 .It looks great . Lose what appears to be a red dote on the Z bar . The equalizer bars were typically marked with a paint slash. Color marking for BB and SB are can be found in the notes of the chassis assembly manual.

Bob here is one of my prior posts on the Z bar that was in this shelby.  the red daub was on there, so I recreated it after plating.

Believe red is the ID for the 67/68 Hipo z bar however it is typically done as a paint slash on the bar. White for GT500 for those folks reading. Since you chose to recreate that red dot detail I would definitely have that highlighted in your book of documentation that you keep of the restoration with the car so that you can verify why you did it for inquiring minds (and judges in a concours venue) since the dot is out of the ordinary compared to the more typical slash.

Today's agenda was applying GOODYEAR letters to the sidewalls of the AVONs.

Yesterday I removed the Avon logos from the sidewalls with a dremel and maroon (320) and grey (600) scotchbrite wheels from amazon.  This took a while and was messy, definately do this outside.
I also used scotchbrite pads to blend the sidwall areas I was working on.  To clean up I wiped sidewalls down with brake cleaner.

Today I applied the goodyear white letters that I had made by tirestickers.com.  I took a rubbing off an old polyglass tire we have that had 3/4" letters.

I cleaned the entire sidewall thoroughly with acetone.  This also improved the blending around the perimeter of the sidewall of the worked and non worked sections.

Next was to layout the position of the goodyear letters and then bond on with tirestickers.com supplied adhesive.

I followed tirestickers instructions and all went well.

We had a great time at the Greenwich CT Concours de Sport!  We were in the Carroll Shelby Centenary class with 6 other Shelby vehicles.  The Hagerty judging was more of a cleanliness and do all your lights work scoring vs an mca concours type scoring.  We took an award of "Speed and Style".  That aside it was just great to interact with other fellow auto enthusiasts, Shelby enthusiasts, share info on our restoration and educate those who had interest, being of all ages.   And to top it off drivng 40min to the event was fantastic and the Shelby ran great!
Thanks to those who assisted in past week with helping on details and the rear brake problem. Yes a repop proportioning valve was the solution.

Some more pics of the event
Next to our passenger side the winner of the Carroll Shelby Centenary class was a very nice 1966 Shapphire Blue GT350.  I believe it is known to have been a very early 66 and a 66 Shelby test bed vehicle thus the reason it was outfitted with 65 Cragars.

On our drivers side a very nice 68 GT500KR convertible.

Further down a 289 Cobra Sport shown by its original owner and has been restored twice by him.    As explained at show this 289 Cobra Sport has FIA type wheel flares, painted wire wheels and no side pipes.  The owner bought it new for $5100.

Next the Cobra a powder blue 65 GT40, beautifully restored.  This car took Best in show.  Then a 2006 Ford GT.

... and next to the Ford GT was a 1966 GT350 that also was still owned by the original owner and has been a rally car for most of its life, now having 190k miles on it!
